Standardization of CATV Technologies

CATV is expected to be the core medium in the broadband era. As the only organization in Japan to formulate the standards for CATV technologies and systems, JCTEA is committed to the standardization of the emerging promising technologies. The following standards are available for sale (only in Japanese).

JCTEA is recognized as an organization qualified for including references in ITU-T recomemdation s under A.5 procedures, and is also recognized as National Standards Development Organizations for Cooperation and Exchange of Information under Rec.A6.

JCTEA standards are adopted by the Japan Cable Laboratories to formulate specifications of CATV equipments for securing interoperability.
